European Consensus Method: an AI exploration – Interview with Jonathan Slapin, ETH Zurich

The European Court of Human Rights is a crucial institution in the acknowledgement and determination of emerging human rights worldwide. This interview explains one of the methods it uses to do so, and what are its legal and political implications. It also discusses the potentialities of using AI based research methods in the social sciences. Although powerful, they also point to the need of adapting the tools to the subject under examination.
